Review of L'Oreal Total Repair Extreme Emergency Recovery Mask

I'm not sure when this happened, but L'Oreal released an expansion of the Total Repair line. The new line is called Total Repair Extreme. It includes shampoo, conditioner, a split-end mender, and a recovery hair mask. Today, I'm going to be doing a review of the Total Repair Extreme Emergency Recovery Mask. Normally, I like to use a product for awhile before forming an opinion of it, but I couldn't wait with this product. After the first use, it became a holy grail product.

Here is the basics:

My Thoughts:
After I toned my hair during the blonde transformation , my hair felt like dry, stiff, and broken. As I was at Target just walking up and down aisles, I stumbled upon the Emergency Recovery Mask. At first the shiny gold packaging caught my eye. I instantly picked it up and started reading the bottle. Once I read that it was for extremely damaged and over-worked hair, I had no doubt in my mind that it needed to be mine.
I do not tend to buy items spur of the moment. I like to look up reviews and ratings before anything so I don't feel like I'm wasting my time. This was a spur of the moment purchase. I realized that with all of the abuse my hair had just taken from being bleached and toned; I had nothing to lose.
The consistency of this product is a thick creamy substance. It applies to the ends of my dry broken ends wonderfully. I left it on for 5 minutes being that my hair was in a sad state. When I rinsed it out, HOLY MOLEY!!!!! My hair felt like I had never bleached it. It felt healthy, moisturized, and alive again.

I do have one warning with this product. Be careful on the amount you use. If you use too much product, your hair will feel greasy when it dries. I feel like that should be expected with a lot of product use because this is an intense rebuilding hair mask.

So if you have extremely dry or damaged hair, I 100% recommend this product. If you are just looking for a simple moisturizing hair mask, I'd try the Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm ( which is made by L'Oreal as well). Next on my list to try is the split end mender.

If you have tried this product, please let me know what you think. Did you love it? Hate it?

Love

My Brunette to Blonde Transformation

Today I'm going to talk about my brunette to blonde transformation. I did it myself without having to go to the salon. I also want to state that I'm not great at doing hair at all. I can't style, cut, color, anything properly. I DO NOT recommend anyone doing this to themselves as I did it. I decided to take a risk. Let me just get to the story.

Before
Sorry for the poor quality-it's from my cell phone
One day, I woke up itching for a change in my hair. I've done every natural hair color, except blonde. So why not? Instead of just jumping to it that day, I gave myself a couple of days to think about it because I knew it wasn't going to be easy. After about 5 days, the urge for blonde hair didn't go away. So I made my way to Sally Beauty Supply. Here's a list of the items I used (I linked all the products I used):
All I did was mix one pack of the Quick Blue powder bleach with 2oz of the 30 vol developer.
I applied it to my ends and worked my way up, but not on my roots. I left it on my hair for about 40-45 minutes before applying it to my roots. The reason for that is the heat from your scalp processes the bleach faster. After applying it to my roots, I left it on for an additional 15 minutes (one hour total time).
Once the bleach was completely rinsed out, I put Joico KPAK conditioner on my hair for about 5 minutes (you can use any conditioner you'd like). When my hair dried, I noticed that it seemed to look a bit patchy. Some parts were blonde, some were highlighter yellow, and some were carrot orange. I decided not to bleach again that night and I waited until the next day.
When I started the process all over again the next day, I started with the pieces that looked orange and worked my way through my entire hair. I, again, waited a hour before washing it out. I also used the Joico KPAK conditioner after rinsing. Once my hair finally dried, it seemed to have an orange tint in some places. To better explain, it would look orange at one angle then yellow at another. Noticed I didn't say blonde? It's because my hair wasn't quite blonde yet. I felt like someone took a yellow highlighter and colored patches of my hair with it. I decided to give my hair a break and  I left it like that for 48 hours. Needless to say, I wore a hat for 48 hours.

After the two day break, I made the decision to tone my hair to see if that would help the situation.
I ended up using Wella Color Charm in T18 Lightest Ash Blonde20 vol developer, and the same bowl and tint brush as before. I heard you shouldn't leave it in your hair the full recommended 30 minutes because it could turn your hair purple (the toner turns purple while it's in your hair). I lost track of time and left it in for the full time. I instantly started to panic before i even rinsed it out. Luckily, my hair looked great. It was actually blonde.

After everything
Natural hair after being up all day

Surprisingly, my hair doesn't feel like straw. I'm really impressed on how simple it was, even though it took a couple of days. I'm  not quite sure how I feel about it yet. I think it may need some dimensions.

I really hope you enjoyed my story on going blonde. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. My number one tip, if you're thinking about going blonde, is use a conditioner at every rinse during the process. I really feel that is what saved my hair.

Love,
Michelle

Pretty Little Liars Theories

In honor of Pretty Little Liars day, I decided to express my theories about what is currently going on in the show. I haven't read the books, but I've been watching the show since season one. Lately, things have been quite weird and suspicious. So here is my theories on what is going on.

1. Someone has a twin.
I actually have two theories on this one
Here's the first one:
Mrs. D and Mrs. Cavanaugh were twins, making Toby and Alison related.
   Bethany Young was Toby's sister.
Mrs. D pushed Mrs. C off the roof of Radley and Bethany saw the whole thing.
Mrs. D tried to keep Bethany quiet by spoiling her with gifts.
Bethany hated Mrs. D for killing her mother. (which explains the sketches)
Bethany grew tired of keeping quiet, so she called Mrs D and told her that she was going to the    police if Mrs D didn't confess.
   Jason overheard the conversation.
Bethany escaped Radley to go tell the police, but stopped at the DiLaurentis house to give Mrs D one last chance to come clean.
Jason killed Bethany in an attempt to protect his family.
Toby found out that Mrs D is responsible for the death of his mother and sister.
   Toby kills Mrs D.

Heres the second twin theory I have:
Jason and Bethany were twins.
As we learned from past episodes, Mr. Hastings is Jason's father.
As a child, Bethany showed signs of mental instability.
When Mrs D became pregnant with Alison, she admitted Bethany into Radley under her maiden name.
Mrs D couldn't trust Bethany around a newborn.
Image is everything to the DiLaurentis family, so Mrs D kept Bethany's existence a secret.
Mrs. D tried to buy Bethany's love because she felt guilty.
Bethany grew resentful of Mrs D for putting her into Radley.
Her breaking point was when she found out that Mrs D had another little girl.
Bethany was jealous of Alison.
She broke out of Radley to kill Ali.
She hit Ali over the head.
Jason overheard Mrs D and Bethany in the backyard when they were Ali.
Jason killed Bethany.
Mr. Hastings was angry when he found out what happened to his daughter (Bethany).
A Hastings killed Mrs. D

2. How do Caleb and Allison know each other?
Caleb used to be homeless;I think they met in the basement Ali was staying in when she ran away.
If you remember when Cyrus stabbed Alison, everyone from the basement left.
I think Caleb was the mastermind and and convinced Cyrus to take Ali's belongings.

3. What's Melissa's secret?
Who Bethany is and who killed her and Mrs D

4. What happened to Eddie Lamb?
Mr Hastings threatened Eddie because he knew too much about Bethany and her history. I think Mr Hastings got nervous about Eddie talking when he was Spencer's nurse at Radley.

5. Where's Wren?
He's  in London keeping up the lie that Melissa lives there with him. I believe Melissa is A and has never left Rosewood. She stays there keeping an eye on the girls.

Ok, so I think that's it for now. Please remember that these are all just my opinion and nothing is factual. I hope you all enjoyed this. Let me know what your theories are. I love reading them.

A Girl Review of Guardians of the Galaxy

Credit to Google Images

I know this is a bit late, but I really wanted to do this.

Coming from someone who has never read the comic books, I absolutely loved this movie. I'm not going to sit here and give you a synopsis of the movie because I personally don't like doing. I feel like it sort of ruins the movie. Anywho, I was looking forward to seeing this movie since the first trailer premiered. Why you ask, since I had no idea what this movie was about? It's all because of Ms. Amy Pond, or Karen Gillan (however you may know her).

I went into this movie thinking I was going to fall head over heels in love with Rocket (the crazy raccoon). That was not the case. As much I as loved Rocket, I feel like Groot (the tree) stole the show.

The story was good. The action was even better. The comedy was the absolutely best. This movie has all of the qualities of a great summer movie.

The best thing about this movie is that it's an everybody movie. So you can  take a date or have a family night at the movies.

My rating: 9/10--the reason it's not a 10 is because I felt it was a bit long at 122mins.

Love Always,
Michelle

Welcome to my blog

Let me start off by saying hello!
I've tried blogging before with a certain theme to all my posts, but after awhile I started to get bored. I'd run out of ideas or not be able to get the perfect picture. I decided that this time will be different. As unorganized as this seems, I'm not going to have a set theme. This will allow me to post every day without a problem. This time around I'm going to be posting whatever I want. Eventually (once I get into the swing of things), I may make a schedule and post certain things on certain days.
If you want to stay in contact with me, here's all my info.
